Teresa Shuler - Owner

I've been working in the staffing industry since the early '90s, and I've loved every minute of it. Columbus has a great legal market, which I began recruiting for in 1999. Every year Columbus Business First lists the top 25 law firms in Columbus, and I'm proud to say 23 of them are my long-time clients. Additionally, I work with multiple small and medium-sized firms. Each office has its own unique culture and goals. I truly enjoy working with the firms' leadership teams to identify attorneys and support staff that will embrace the culture and share the goals of the firm.

After 20 plus years, I still love what I do, and that makes coming to work every day so much easier. Hopefully, that's evident in the excellent level of service provided to the local firms and the candidates I work with.

Specialties: Understanding what an employer is looking for. There are many candidates that have the skills to fill a position, but hires are based on much more than that.

Lavinia Mason - Director of Attorney Recruitment

I am a seasoned Legal Recruiter with 12 years' experience in the industry. My recruiting career began in Southern California with a nationally recognized recruiting firm. I was very successful in placing high-level support staff and paralegals. I then began attorney recruitment and have excelled in this arena as well. I am excellent at identifying candidates for positions that are extremely difficult to fill. Relationship building is my passion.

Kelly Ewald - Payroll and Onboarding Coordinator

I am a seasoned Administrative Assistant with over 10 years of experience in law firms as a paralegal and office manager.  I manage the administrative functions of our office to include payroll, invoicing, and HR functions. I graduated with my Bachelor of Business Management in 2007 and held positions with two different law firms where I was able to gain the knowledge and experience that has facilitated my office administrator role with Aspen Careers.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children.  I volunteer my time to coach my son’s travel soccer team.  I  also dedicate my free time to the PTO of Columbus Preparatory Academy, where I am the President.

Kathy Rosenberry - Legal Recruiter

I bring 30+ years of Legal Management and staffing experience from the Central Ohio area. In April 2019, I retired as the Director Of Administrative Services at Ice Miller, where I managed the Columbus office and focused on many firm-wide projects such as Secretary teaming, virtual document production, Hub Innovation Centers, and developed a secretarial comprehensive core competency training program.

My husband John and I live in German Village with “Tutter” our 8-year-old rescue Chihuahua. I am a member of The Short North Stage Administrative Board.

I take tap class at Ballet Met and am learning to play the ukulele with the help of the internet. One of the perks of working part-time is that I will be able to spend more time with my three grandsons, ages 3, 2 and 1 when I'm not working.

Michelle Belville – Operations Coordinator

I am the Operations Coordinator for Aspen Careers.  My responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations and ensuring systems used at the firm are working efficiently.

Prior to Aspen, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from The Ohio State University while working for a large law firm in Columbus. I have over 10 years corporate experience and am skilled in process improvement, which results in consistent and high-quality results.

In my spare time, I enjoy weekend camping trips with my family, being outdoors and reading. I enjoy meeting new people and I love the energy that working with people brings.
